Using traditional upholstery techniques and vintage fabrics, Mel takes unwanted furniture and lamps and turns them into unique objects of desire. She started collecting vintage fabrics when she was a textiles student and started Mel Made This, after moving to London and discovering unwanted and neglected furniture and lights around the junk shops of the capital.
All the pieces are one-off’s and can be ordered from the website or she will make specific items to order.
