Another nice book sent to us from The Book People and another good one for the Christmas present list is the Liberty Book of Home Sewing, written by Lucinda Ganderton with photos by Kristin Perers and clear illustrations on how to make everything by Richard Merritt. It is beautifully colourful to look at, with lots of Liberty prints used decoratively on the end papers and throughout, as you would expect. There are instructions on how to make an assortment of products, including cushions, simple curtains and quilts. I like the look of the kimono dressing gown and the sugar bag door stop, when I have a minute to spare, might have a go at one of them.
