Frieze fashion 2012: part three

Our final posting from Frieze this year concentrates on shoes. There were lots of studded shoes, gold shoes, colour blocked wedges and shoe boots this year as well as Chelsea boots and brogues, often worn with patterned tights -there were not so many bright opaques tights this year. I am planning to wear my beloved Chelsea boots with opaque tights and a tweed or lace pencil skirt. It’s time to hibernate your knee length boots for s season and get yourselves some statement footwear! here’s a few inspiration ideas

The shoes on the left below are my favourite from the show, they look expensive and I really love the textured detail coming through from the quilted pencil skirt. The studded boots are very wearable rock chick, no?

I think it’s very frowned upon in the art world t consider colour coding your art with your clothes, but don’t you love the colours in the painting below and wouldn’t it make a great dress print?

A great way to wear boots and trousers below, I love the shot of neon-bright pink velvet cropped above the ankle and the coat is iridescent leather.

Below, a blur of fluffy pompom and vertiginous tartan……perfectly teemed with flared jeans.

Gorgeous bold colours here, I am hooked on those spotty wide legged trousers on the right, also note the coat’s beautiful cut on the back and iridescent shimmer to the fabric.

Below is one of three lovely works by abstract America artist Joan Mitchell, my new art-love, take a look at her work at the Hauser Wirth gallery , just need to save up a few tens of thousands to buy it…
