Denim Dudes by Amy Leverton

DENIM DUDES 1We are loving the look of this new street style book, ‘Denim Dudes’ by ex-colleague and friend Amy Leverton. It explores the very best of denim styling from over 80 different denim obsessives and shows how a wide range of men interpret denim, from metal heads, punks, indie kids, rockabillies, bikers and hipsters, to geeks.

Amy is a denim expert who has worked in the industry for ten years and is currently denim director at WGSN. She has included features on key industry players, including Adriano Goldschmied (Diesel, Evisu) and Kenichi and Kenji (Warehouse Japan), as well as street style enthusiasts.

DENIM DUDES 2Exclusive photogaphy for the book was shot in Paris, Tokyo, London, New York, LA, Milan, San Francisco, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Barcelona, Melbourne, Gothenburg and Sydney.

Denim Dudes: Street Style Vintage Workwear Obsession is out on the 9th February 2015 and Amy will be selling the book at Rin Tanaka’s Inspiration in Los Angeles on the 7th and 8th of February.

Nice review Jane and well done Amy — a great achievement ! My husband is a writer and I know only too well how much love and labour goes into a pictorial-heavy book. Having only just started wearing jeans at 67 ( thank god for the advent of the Boyfriend and Uniqlo’s denim-look leggings, so much easier than my usual tutus !) I really hope it does well am looking forward to the next one.
