After our post on the best skin care for cold weather, the nice people at MONU Skincare introduced us to its excellent range of products that they thought might also be good for older skin in this very drying weather.
MONU products will appeal to those who take a natural angle on their skin care, the products are stuffed with lovely essential oils such as rose hip, primrose, mimosa and calendula, and use sweet almond oil, apricot kernel oil and wheatgerm oil in abundance. I’ve been trialling the MONU Cleansing Balm, which is a soft waxy cleanser that turns into a rich milky liquid when you rinse it off- very gentle and soothing on the skin, the super RENU Restoring Cream, which is rich and protective, and also the slightly magical sounding MONU Skin Activator, which help other products work better by allowing better absorption. I know that sounds dubious but I have been using it for the last two weeks and it does help serums, oils and moisturisers go further on your skin and they do sink in well. It also professes to help repair burns and small skin irritations, which some of you might find helpful.
