Remember our recent backpack research? (and here). I am still delighted with my Shinola purchase, but this lovely Harris Tweed one from Edinburgh based designer Catherine Aitken, recently caught my attention.
It’s called the Wanderlust 4Way and cleverly switches between back pack and over-the-body bag due to its strap construction, you just clip the straps to what you want. I think this is very neat. And it’s handmade in Edinburgh, which adds to its appeal, I love a bit of Harris Tweed.
The tweed is very tough and waterproof- although the bag is also interlined in waterproof fabric too- and the reverse of the bag is made from a dry waxed cotton in a dark chocolate, produced for Catherine in Dundee, so it’s comfortable and wont ruffle-up against your clothes. it’s £225 with free UK delivery and comes in a range of colours and checks.
