Protected Species summer collection

protected species
You may remember my enthusiastic endorsement of Protected Species outerwear back here. Well, nine months on and I still love my parka, which has been around the world with me; on country walks, urban safaris and down the high street and has never let me down.
Not only has it kept me warm and dry, but the fabric is standing up to wear magnificently and I’m always being asked where it comes from.
The tiny team at PS are doing well and this spring they’ve launched another style in the range, the City Walker, a shorter, slightly biker-ish style for spring-weather. And white is the new colourway, the trench mac looks fab in it.

Well priced for the quality, I can vouch for that-  the City Walker is £179.

    Looks gorgeous – but what about the provenance? Since turning 40 and becoming a mum at the same time (a decade ago), I have become increasingly aware of the need for stylish clothing that ticks the ethical boxes too – fair trade/conscious earthwear. None of us can afford to ignore these issues now. I always make a point of checking the background of clothing companies before I buy, and am happy to pay more for a clean garment. Just a thought! Love the site.
