Candles are the best thing for creating that Hygge effect at home and I always have several burning in winter – even during the day. But occasionally I get slightly freaked out at the thought that I may have gone out and left one burning. Thoughts of cats tails flicking lit candles onto rugs and setting the whole street on fire, are more than a little bit alarming!
I have passed my love of a flickering flame onto my daughter and while she was upset that candles were banned form her new halls of residence, I was quite relieved.
Now I’ve found the perfect solution – the flameless candle. The real wax encased, battery operated candle flickers just like the real thing – except without the actual flame.
