Some Beauty Buys for March

omo002_omorovicza_deepcleansingmask_1560x1960-cwyupOur thoughts are finally turning to Spring – giving our skin an overhaul and perhaps getting our legs out sometime soon. Here are a few products that have come to our attention over the last few weeks that are definitely worth buying.

The Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask is something you might want to suggest your children get you for Mothers day. It uses Hungary’s famous healing waters and mineral infused muds from the thermal Lake Héviz to create a wonderfully effective mask. I am more of a fan of a moisturising mask these days but not only did this one smell amazing,  it cleansed without drying my skin and felt super luxurious (more from this brand here).

At £57 its not cheap, but if you have a few children, maybe they could club together – or just treat yourself, as they say in the advert, because you’re worth it!

My daughter has been banging on about Charlotte Tilbury for ages and finally persuaded me to try out her skin care range and foundation. I bought The Gift of Red Carpet Skin skincare set as its a great way of trying all of the skin care products in small sizes before you commit to one. It contains The Goddess Clay Mark, Multi Miracle Glow cleansing Balm, Magic Cream, WonderGlow and an eye make remover.

I’m not going to list their magical properties as beauty marketing speak drives me insane with it’s ridiculous promises of transformation and magical ingredients. Safe to say they are lovely products which do work – particularly the Wonder Glow (think Clarins Beauty Flash Balm) which is like an instant lift for tired and sleep deprived (all menopausal women) skin.

Also check out the Charlotte Tilbury foundations – but don’t go too matt (which I always do) as according to beauty guru daughter, ‘it makes you look older.”

I went for the Light Wonder which is one of the best foundations I have bought in a while. I was also persuaded to buy a Bobby Brown Make up brush to apply it with – and after much harrumping about the price and whether it was necessary – it has changed my life. It looks like a paint brush and seems ridiculous, but it honestly allows you to get a lovely even finish – I’m not going to use the word flawless because thats ridiculous, but its pretty close!!

Really products are very effective and innovative. This is some great information, and I appreciate your point that your skin absorbs what you put on it. I’ll definitely look into using more natural products in the future so I can keep my body healthy. Thanks for the great post!
