Women who get s..t done: Ariana Grande

If you didn’t see last nights One Love Manchester concert live on TV, take some time today to watch even a little bit of it. Singer Ariana Grande is loved by millions of young girls (and boys) around the world, but last night she became a role model and icon for all generations.

Someone on Twitter summed it.

Bringing together a whole host of superstars to perform at Old Trafford, the tiny singer (wearing super high heels) who had pulled together the concert in less than a week – fought back the tears as she played all her hits – and millions of parents (including me) commented on what an amazing voice she has!

One of the most moving moments of the night came when the choir from Parrs Wood High School in south Manchester duetted with Grande on her ballad, My Everything.

Last night my whole family sat round the tv together – something we never do – and watched the concert in real time, with millions of other people around the country –  and we felt the collective surge of emotion and understanding that it’s time to come together.

Thanks Ariana – you are definitely a woman who gets s..t done.

I couldn’t agree more with your comments. She was truly an inspiration, I’m sure it must have been very tough for her after the events but she showed great courage and strength and put on such a great show.

I am so proud of her. Incredible heart and so brave. I did not see the concert here in the US, but saw highlights on our news. She is teaching how its done. Wish DT followed her lesson of love and bringing everyone together.
