All this fabulous recent sunshine has got me in the mood for a more summery take on mealtimes. While I’m a keen white-plate-minimalist with my everyday crockery, I like the idea of a splash of colour for summer. I was recently in the Gudrun Sjödén shop and fell for these pretty blue plates and bowls. Not wanting to lug them home, I bought them from the website and got them delivered.
They really are fabulous.Robust enough to stand up to life in our house but pretty too, and they look so charming on my outside wooden table. Gudrun’s cheerfully upbeat use of colour works brilliantly in her home designs but these are often overlooked. Check out more of her summer home range here.
