Should anyone need any ideas for gifts on Valentine’s Day (or need to drop a few giant hints to partners) look no further than the lovely Red Rose Collection from Jo Malone London.
To be honest, I’m happy with anything in a Jo Malone box, the cream and black trimmed containers tide up with fat black grosgrain ribbon are enough for me, but the Red Rose collection smells particularly heavenly. All week I’ve had a small travel candle burning on my desk and the room smells beautifully rosy -with a tiny hint of violet and lemon. Ideally, this cloud of fabulousness would surround me where ever I went and I suppose since it is a travel candle you could carry it around…but you might get funny looks on the tube. The travel candle size costs £22 and the home candle size is £38.
There’s a very nice Red Roses Fragrance Chronicle set which has two individual rose perfumes, a lemon and a honeycomb perfume that are designed to work together in layers, the idea being that you make your own combinations up and bespoke the final smell. It’s a very pretty presentation box and at £72 for the 48ml set, would certainly make me happy, but any of the Red Roses Collection would be a lovely thing to get on Valentine’s Day (are you reading MAD?) .
