As you know, we are not usually up for sponsored posts, and if we do, we choose them very carefully – if at all. But this one appealed to us, as it’s that time of year when the teens are starting to plan their summer holidays.
In our day, we were lucky if we got a couple of weeks in a caravan in Scotland and we couldn’t wait to stop holidaying with our parents. But these days its all inter-railing in Europe, festivals in Croatia and two weeks somewhere exotic with the family, thank you very much. Even teen daughter is angling for a week away with her mates this year, after her GCSE’s. This is where Cheap Holidays comes in.
Personally I’m wary of anything with the word cheap in it, but when you’re young it is a positively a bonus and these holidays are really cheap. Who can argue with seven nights in Ayia Napa for £87? Well we could, cos it’s Ayia Napa (have you seen Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents?) but when you’re 18 and looking for a good time, its perfection on a plane!
There are also some slightly more expensive holidays on offer, mainly in Greece, Cyprus, Spain and Turkey, which look more family friendly. They may not be boutique style luxury, but at around £2,500 for 14 nights for a family of four, they are definitely worth considering for a budget getaway.
But you still won’t get me to go to Malia!
