Looking into the wardrobe some mornings feels like the above image, a mountain of stuff we no longer love, never liked that much in the first place or can't remember buying. We need to work on Buying Better and so we are practising saying NO to the sales. Just for this season there will be no impulse buying just because it's cheap (they are almost alwys bad decisions). We really don't need anything more at the moment so we'll save ourselves for the coming autumn and pre season clothes.
The above image is from the Saatchi Gallery's current exhibition on abstract American painting and sculpture and is by Cuban artists Guerra de la Paz, who source the clothes for their sculptures from discarded items from daily life. Looks like we've found somewhere to send our unwanted clothes to then.
