We do love a pop up restaurant or shop and are always up for a new concept. This week the lovely Jane and Vishal from The Dog and the Wardrobe, invited us along to the opening of the latest pop up concept to hit London, a Finnish restaurant called Hel Yes.
Set up by Finnish designers and food visionaries as part of the London Design festival, it's situated in a an old factory behind the Victoria Miro gallery, off City Road in Islington (go to the gallery if you haven't already been, its lovely).
The interior is super stylish meets urban nature, featuring felled trees made into table decorations, an open plan kitchen and a lounging area set up like a camp site. Unfortunately we didn't get to taste the food, but it looked delicious and we did try a rather delicious ligonberry and gingerbread cocktail!
Hel Yes is only open for only two weeks, so is probably already fully booked, but pop along to the London Design Festival which runs from the 19th – 26th September, there are some great events and most are open to the public.
