Searching through my large stash of vintage magazines, I came across this Valentine Valentino shoot (photographer Leombruno-Bodi) from Queen Feb 1968. Having spent a lot of this week avoiding a lot of dresses made from questionable quality white lace in many high street stores, I marvelled at the beauty of white lace done beautifully.
The Valentino outfits don't have any prices but the text talks of the spring summer 1968 Valentino collection being like a day trip to heaven- with a lot of dancing. The model is 'New wave actress' Benedetta Barzini and the chap is painter Richard Bernstein. The lace and spot tights, by the way, are all HAND PAINTED. Enjoy.
