Ok, ok so the world might have gone a bit overboard with Kate mania this week, but really how could our weekend woman be anybody else but Kate Bush this week?
After years away from the spotlight and what must have been a mountain of expectation pressure from her delirious fan base, she pulled off five star reviews and total adoration all round for her Before The Dawn show. And she has done it all rather quietly, once the ticket mania subsided, with just her polite plea to keep the show phone and table free so she could engage properly with the audience.
All this after 35 years absence from live performing and at 56 years old. If anyone is sitting at home wondering if they can go back to do interesting work after years out of the loop looking after children, we think Kate has shown that you most definitely can.
