This is a lovely book, stuffed with excellent recipes which are linked by the inclusion of vanilla in all. I am a vanilla fiend and will use it whenever I can. I buy the stuff in bulk off the internet (suppliers are listed in the back of this book too) to ensure I never run out as it’s much cheaper this way and now know -thanks to the book- to only ever store in under glass, never plastic.
There are some terrific recipes, I personally prefer the sweet rather than the savoury ones, but all look interesting. I am hooked on the banana polenta upside down cake…
