Just in case anyone doesn't know what the wonderful Rei Kawakubo from Comme des Garcons and Dover Street Market looks like, (see previous post on Comme and H&M) she's one of us. Born in 1942, she's a stylish older woman, rarely seen out of (Comme des Garcons) black and an inspiration to us all.
Why is she so fabulous? Well she constantly tries to be different, never follows trends and strives to be totally original, she is completely and utterly modern and we love her for it. Dover Street Market, her inspiring retail space in London is full of wonderful but expensive clothes, so roll on Thursday…see you in the queue.
