Style icon: Caroline Baker

Caroline Baker

Journalist Caroline Baker has always been somewhat of an idol of ours. One of the first people to recognize the importance of street style and to encourage women to dress for themselves rather for men, we have always felt an affinity with her sensibility and love her personal style. Caroline started her career on the revolutionary Nova magazine and went onto work on Cosmopolitan, Vogue, the Sunday Times, French Elle and Good Housekeeping. She has been fashion director at You magazine since the mid 90's.

We caught up with Caroline at the M & S press day and as always, she looked great. Flying the flag for British design, she was wearing a Portfolio tunic dress and Limited leggings, both from Marks and Spencer. We loved the simplicity of her outfit, contrasted with the more edgy studded ankle detail.
