Design collective Household and illustrator Sarah Melin, came up with the perfect way to create the ultimate low cost, high quality shopping experience. They set up the Pound Shop in Hoxton East London for a week last April, selling original found items and quirky items from local businesses, artists and designers, all selling for a pound.
The collective are planning a new pop up Pound shop in conjunction with the London Design Festival this September, and are looking for things to sell. The idea is that sellers should also make a profit. So if you think you can make a desirable product, sell it for a pound and make a profit, get in touch with them. Or like us, you could simply just visit and hopefully pick up a few bargains. We'll let you know the details nearer the time.
