We promise this will be the last post on coloured trousers for a while, we have rather gone on about them this week. But I thought you might be interested to know where I ended up buying mine from. COS as it happens, they are neon bright orange/red, high waisted (shock!) cropped above the ankle and straight-but-not skinny fitting around the legs. They have a front zip, two generous pockets I can slouch my hands into and the fabric is wonderfully firm. Quality looks excellent, they have lovely bound seams inside although we’ll see how they wash.
But, I can hear you say, what on earth are you going to wear such a challanging bright colour with? Well having watched Jane mix her oranges in with all sorts of fabulous combinations recently I am opting for navy, either plain, such as the T shirt (lovely long length to cover my bum) I also bought at COS or maybe the lace blouse in navy I bought aeons ago from the Liberty sale (Erdem, before I’d even heard of him).
And maybe solid black, in the form of a tunic dress I bought from eBay, I like the idea of adding a more modern bent to my all black wardrobe formula. Once you’ve got the hang of this bright trouser thing, it’s really very addictive and a great way to feel very updated.
Trousers form COS cost £59.00, sadly not on line but there are more shops now, check out the website
