We love: Toast again!

The Toast range hasn’t really done it for us for the last couple of seasons. We desperately wanted to like it, but once we had got past the aspirational lifestyle shots and quirky styling, there just wasn’t anything we wanted to actually wear.

This season it seems they are back on form, with a lovely new website and some great pieces. Highlights include the knitwear, sleepwear and homeware which gets bigger and better every season. But I still don’t get the weird jersey skirts and legging/trousers – who wears them?

Check out the gorgeous slipper range. Very ‘Nan does Nordic’ and perfect for those chilly Autumn evenings.

You are so right.Their stripey flannel pyjamas are fab and always mark the start of Autumn/Winter for me.And the slippers look interesting, too – but have you seen Haflinger’s felted rubber-soled clog slippers (elsewhere)? I really think I might need a pair this year. The Toast catalogue always makes me want to go and live in the middle of nowhere.Xsue

Liking the sound of those clog slippers, going to check them out – feel a slipper post coming on

I am also glad to see that Toast is back. For the last two years I’ve looked at the catalogues and then promptly dumped them in the recycling bin. This time the catalogue arrived and I headed off to the Notting Hill Gate shop to have a look at the coats. I’m waiting though before purchasing as I was told they have some more fantastic coats due to arrive shortly.

Adore the Toast styling – and even some of the clothes!
Pity that this season they didn’t continue with using older models.

don’t you just want to live in a Toast catalogue?

  • I completely agree. I love the photography and general ambience of the images, but the clothes themselves don’t appeal. Having said that, I did buy a pair of Nordic socks for my sister last Christmas.
