Perfume review: Marni perfume

Marni
Unlike Amanda I’m not very adventurous when it comes to perfume, I’m a bit stuck in my ways, brands don’t mean that much to me and I’m generally not that interested in trying out new things. I know what I like and tend to alternate between three or four favourite smells.

That was until Marni, my favourite brand in the whole world brought out a perfume, then I simply had to try it. Fickle moi?

I was beyond excited to receive a sample and loved the bottle instantly. Polka dots are my very favourite thing and the addition of a fabric label is a nice touch, so far so good, but what about the fragrance?

According to the press release the top Notes are bergamot, pepper, ginger and pink peppercorn, the heart of the perfume contains cardamon, rose and cinnamon bark  and the bottom notes include Patchouli, Incense, Vetiver and Cedarwood. In laymans terms this means its essentially spicy and subtley floral, with a hint of woody warmth. It’s not like anything I have ever worn before and I love it and it makes me think I should be a little more adventurous in the future.
