Just a quickie today, as I’m in Venice this week attending the Biennale, do follow us in instagram @thewomensroomblog if you want a tour of the arty highlights while you are at your laptop.
Anyway, the lovely Burt’s Bees lip balm is something I’m sure you’ll all know about, but did you know the brand has produced its first ever range of lipsticks? Very nice they are too, the colours are lovely and come in a range of stylish, non-shouty shades. I first discovered Burts Bees in a uber chic, Californian health food store many years ago, because of this I always associate it with cool Canyon girls, Joni Mitchell music and sunshine.
These new lippies are just as hydrating as the lip balm, and are made from 100% natural ingredients according to the press bumf, including community sourced beeswax, raspberry seed oil, mimosa flower wax and moringa oil. It is very comfortable in the lips and easy to apply, it has a slender bullet shape rather than a chunky one, which I prefer. There are 18 shades, I’m a fan of the neutral-natural Blush Basin, in fact it’s in Venice with me as my ‘try to look as if you’ve made an effort’ handbag lippy, but there are lots of good ones. Nice packaging and lovely quality for around ten quid.
