We love:The Timberland Boot Company

Timberland

It's been quite  week for new launches, what with +J and now we discover that one of our favourite looking stores in London, The Timberland Boot Company (up market stylish sister of the Timberland brand) has started to sell womens shoes. Joy! The store, which is in Fornier Street in Spitalfields, has always impressed us with its beautiful display and lovely interior (it used to be a banana warehouse and has been lovingly refurbished keeping all the original brickwork and carpentry, it has still got the old David Kira warehouse sign rather than a Timberland sign) but up until now only sold mens shoes, and pretty fab ones at that.

This week I went to check out the (small) new range for women and ended up buying a pair of the boots. I am, I know, a teeny bit obsessed with boots, having also championed the very comprehensive range offered by Kurt Geiger this season, but these are more Dickension in feel, more shabby chic and home spun ( the straps and buckles are oddly matched, they look as if they've been patched together and the leather is artfully but convincingly distressed in all the right places). They cost £225, which might seem a lot for mis-matched but trust me, they're gorgeous.

There are high heels and more boots in the range and the service was great too. All the store staff were curious to know what I thought of the new collection, if the shoes felt good on and how comfy they were to walk in, all my comments were noted down to feed back to the design team and you know how we're NEVER short of comments here at The Women's Room. So if you're partial to a cute boot or quirky shoe then take a look.

Timberland Boot Company is at 1 Fournier Street Spitalfields London E1
