Roman and Williams have designed some of our favourite spaces. Both Amanda and I (and families) have stayed in the Ace Hotel in New York, which manages to be modern and contemporary and retain a sense of the past (it used to be a down at heel hotel in the highly unglamorous mid town area). It is also extremely comfortable and relatively inexpensive.
They also designed the super stylish Standard Hotel in the meatpacking district which is on our list for our next visit to NYC.
If you have a spare five minutes settle down with a cup of tea and be inspired. We love their line ‘it’s a shame you only have dreams at night, you should have a few opportunities during the day.’
