March is all about the designer collaboration it seems, and for once it’s designers we love. Two of our favourite brands Uniqlo and Orla Kiely have teamed up this time to produce a range of t shirts and shirts, featuring Orla Kiely’s trademark bold retro prints. Prices range from £9.90 for a printed scarf to £14.90 for a t-shirt and £29.90 for a printed cotton shirt.
We like the look of the prints and the prices are definitely appealing compared to the Orla Kiely main range, but we’re not sure about the very basic shapes. They potentially look a little bit suburban housewife, but we will reserve judgement until we see them in the flesh!
The range is in stores and online from the 19th of March.
I am very excited about this!
The shirts are nice but a printed t-shirt is very frumpy – I saw the Laura Ashley range and you’d have to try very hard to wear one and not instantly age 20 years.
Hannah I have the Laura Ashley ones and I am just going to check out my additional two decades….! They come up quite big, so I would advice buying down a size. I wear my LA ones under shirts for the double floral effect, I hope I’m not looking ancient while I do this…..Ax
Just saw these in a shop in NYC…not impressed- they looked really juvenile & boring!!
Interesting Cynthia, that was what I thought they might look like. Shame as Orla Kiely mainline is so lovely. J x
all stoles sold out this morning, before I got a chance!
