London Fashion week very clearly split into looks for for Autumn Winter 2013, clothes you very definitely didn’t want to wear and those you loved and wanted to wear right now. The new collection from Whistles was very much in the second group and everyone I spoke to who had seen the show, couldn’t wait to get their hands on the beautifully cut, wearable, luxe separates and to die for knitwear. It seems like such a shame we have to wait a whole six months.
But in the mean time take a look at Whistles design director (and my very good friend) Nick Passmore talk about the new collection.
As you know, I hate heels, but I’m very tempted by those ankle strap, two tone numbers!
Loved the knitwear and trousers especially the black and white sparkly ones which I will be saving my pennies for, nice to see a show that worked so well from a pretty mediocre LFW this time round. Did feel rather sorry for the models who looked a bit worried going up and down on those daft stepped boxes though.
Lovely shot of you in the film Jane – looking v glam and gorge! Must admit to liking Whistles more and more each season. I wasn’t quite brave enough to try on the leather dungarees, let’s be honest they’d look ridiculous on a 50-yr old 5’2″-er, there’s plenty of lovely knitwear and properly tailored cotton trs in quality fabrics. Love the bags and wallets too – they’re going from strength to strength each season…
Thanks Jude, not so sure about glam though. Yes I agree, they just keep getting better and better.
