As a huge Mad Men fan and lover of Modernist interiors, The Modern House has long been one of my favourite property websites. Sadly most of the houses are beyond my wildest dreams, but it doesn’t stop me from fantasising about a 60’s bungalow in Suffolk, or a Don Draper inspired flat in EC1.
It seems I’m not the only one and Mid Century Modern style has inspired graphic designer Stefi Orazi to create Modernist Estates, a Tumblr featuring London flats on post-war estates. More affordable than those on Modern House, the blog also features films and stories about the properties.
Stefi also has an online shop selling really lovely prints and cards based around her obsession.
When I was sorting out refinancing options for our second property, I ran into a bunch of conflicting advice online. A coworker mentioned ClearPath Lending, and while their rates sounded decent, I wasn’t ready to commit without hearing from real customers. While poking around for actual feedback, I came upon clearpath lending reviews and got a much clearer picture of what to expect, especially around their customer service and processing timelines.
