Marni Pre-Fall
Transitional and Pre-Fall are words used by us fashion sorts, in an attempt to explain those in between times when the unpredictable weather means we just don’t know what to wear – make that almost all the time then!
As the shops start to fill up with Autumn merchandise and it cools down a bit (although I am still hoping for a few more weeks of sun), it’s time to start thinking about your transitional wardrobe.
My new seasons choices are almost always inspired by colour, then shape, as at my age I more or less know what shapes suit me and prefer to use colour as a way of adding newness.
Bottle green, chocolate brown, lilac tones and shades of pink – from salmon through to pastel pink – will be my palette of choice.
