New York fashion week: A collection to love

The Row S/S15

This week I am up to my neck in catwalks – not literally – but I am trawling though everything that might influence our clothing choices for Spring Summer 15. Yes I know I’m way ahead of you people – which isn’t always a good thing – I invariably wear black.

One collection thats has stood out for me is from The Row – those of you with teenage daughters might know that this is the label owned by Mary-Kate and Ashley, teen stars and two of the richest women in the US.

They are now very successful fashion designers – well I’m pretty sure they don’t actually design the range, but they own the company and the clothes are very “them”. Like Victoria Beckham, someone else may well design the range, but the range has their handwriting (a fashion term) so I’ll  let them off.

The Row has gone from strength to strength over the last few seasons and although hideously expensive, is the kind of range, were I to come into some large amounts of money, I would definetley buy. The simple, well cut shapes suit more or less any figure and the accessories and bags are to die for.

I am heavily feeling for brown (yes brown) for Autumn/Winter and haven’t been able to buy anything brown yet, so brown, navy and ochre are ticking all my boxes – shame I’ll have to wait until S/S 15.

If you are interested in seeing the S/S catwalk trends as they emerge, check out USP online and on Instagram.

Loving The Row as you say they just get stronger with each season as do Suno, Public School and Rag and Bone all really wearable for grown up women, Now all i need is Amanda’s magic wardrobe wand and I’m set till then i’ll just have to stick with my fantasy pinterest stash.

I love The Row, too. But, I can’t even imagine buying at their prices, I’m afraid…Everything is just sooo beautifully finished. Lovely fabrics and tones. I will have to stick with admiring the photos.
