East London perfumer Angela Flanders created the smell for the Dennis Severs House, one of our favourite houses in London, to complement the amazing eighteenth century atmosphere therein. When you visit the scent is gently present in every room and by the end of the tour you are desperate to know what it is…Well the fragrance is available to buy as a candle, called Mr Severs, at £40 and for December, £4 from each candle sold will be given to the Spitalfields Trust which looks after the upkeep of the house.
