First created in Germany around 1929 by Franz O. Klein Olverum bath oil is one of those beauty secrets you wish you had known about years ago.
If like me, you are a terrible sleeper who needs a whole host of rituals to get even a measly six hours kip, this little bottle of goodness is going to become a staple in your bathroom cabinet.
I was introduced to Olverum a couple of months ago and I wouldn’t go as far as to say its changed my life, but I can honestly say it has improved it.
A blend of essential oils of Lemon, Lavender and Exotic Verbena help relieve tension and leave you feeling mentally and physically relaxed. I find a digital detox at least two hours before bed, followed by a few drops (you don’t need many) of Olverum in a hot bath really helps me get a good night’s sleep
It also contains Pine and Eucalyptus which are great for relieving decongestion and Lavandin and Juniper and Rosemary help stimulate the circulation and relieve aching muscles and joints.
It smells pretty strong and even a tiny bit clinical, but for me this is part of the appeal and the relaxing aroma lingers for a while – which is great if you have an en-suite bathroom as your whole bedroom smells deeply relaxing.
It doesn’t (yet) have the kind of packaging you will want to show off on your bathroom shelf – but the manufacturers are working on this – and it can be difficult to get hold of.
At the moment it’s mostly sold in health food stores and online, but luckily for you we have a special promotional code and you can buy it at 15% off here.
