I was recently invited to a black tie dinner which sent me into something of a occcassion wear spin! I am not one for dressing up and hate heels, but was aware dressing down wasn’t an option. Having made many mistakes in the past with party dressing, I decided that the safest way to go was to stick with a simple navy COS and dress it up with a pair of sparkly shoes. That way I still felt like me and my dress said paired down and simple, but my shoes were dressed up and ready to party.

So I will be adopting this approach to all of my parties this christmas season – assuming anyone invites me to any!
The shops are full of sparkly shoes which can be dressed up or down according to the occasion. Here are a few of my favourites.

I love a sparkly shoe or even a metallic trainer — might give the adidas ones a go seeing the Raf ones are sold out. Shame !! And did I see an Instagram of Jane in the Miu Miu sparklers ?
