Iris Apfel goes from strength to strength as a 90 plus style icon, fronting the new Citroen DS 3 car advert.
I hate car adverts, particularly the ones you see at the cinema, which are either weird (looking at you Nissan Pulsar transformer) or annoyingly macho (every other one). By using Iris, Citroen manage to keep both women and older drivers happy. As we learned recently, according to Age UK, the 50 plus market contributes over £300 billion to the UK economy, so it’s about time we were at least acknowledged.
I’m just a little disappointed Iris wasn’t allowed to pimp-up the interior. We say, Iris for Top Gear?
