Grown Up Boho Dresses with Ace & Jig

aceandjigdressNo doubt about it, the weather is warming up. For anyone who is thinking of a summer dress with an easy, boho vibe, can I suggest Ace & Jig? I was in Liberty last week and checked out the summer range, which looks fresh, charming and like nothing else around. Yes, I am a grown up hippy.

The chic Hannah tunic (above) is supremely simple, could be worn with a T shirt underneath or not, and the colourful stripe is artfully interesting rather than shouty bright. It’s the 70s, but in a quiet voice. More Waitrose than Woodstock, but in a good way. Wear with simple flat leather sandals (perhaps these, or these) and hum Joni Mitchell songs as you go.

I also liked the geometric tunic below, which is like a bright, blue sky on a hot sunny day.

What’s the betting it rains for the rest of the week?

Both beautiful and I will be in Liberty checking them out as soon as poss. But, yes, looks like you’ve gone and jinxed the weather! Cold, damp, windy in the south east today, dragged the puffa coat out of the wardrobe this morning and definitely needed it. Still, the rumour is that we are going to have the hottest summer in record. We’ll see ….

The tunic is speeding it’s way to a freezing cold East Anglia. Wish it was designed in Britain though especially as it will match my Welsh blankets.
