A quick idea for your weekend planning, should you be close to a Gudrun Sjõdén store (or screen). Our favourite colour-focussed, age-positive, eco-friendly Swedish designer is celebrating 40 years in business this year. Gudrun launched her first collection in Sweden in 1976, and as part of the celebrations the The Covent Garden store, in Monouth Street, is holding a catwalk show this Saturday (starts at 3.00 pm).
There is also a competition, running every day for 40 days, where you can win a daily £100 gift voucher when you buy something from the store or online. Simply pop your best Gudrun memory on an email, or on Facebook or Instagram (tag it #gudrun40years) or hand it into the shop staff. There will be a winner every day until 14th November 2016. I always visit Gudrun’s stores when I am in Sweden. Particularly love her fine wool scarves this year. And a couple of months ago went to Gotland and Faro so am looking forwards to the Spring catalogue. Amazing landscape.
