LFW: our favourites

What with all our favourite fashion journalists Tweeting directly from the Spring/Summer shows and lots of brands live streaming their collections, we almost felt like we were at London Fashion week.

If you like to plan ahead and like us, (some might say sadly) try to slot in the odd fashion forward colour or shape into your current wardrobe, then you need to be buying some very bright/neon colours asap.

Our favourite collections included Jonathan Saunders gorgeous bright prints, toned down with soft grey, in simple easy to wear shapes and Jasper Conrans 50's inspired ladylike shapes in tones of peach, orange, yellow and gold.

Lace was also a key look and we loved the neon lace from Christopher Kane, as well as the beautiful red and white lace worn with stunning florals, from one of our favourite young designers, Erdem.

Our absolute 'must have' (even if its only a scarf from his Top Shop range) collection was from young Cetral Saint Martins graduate, Michael Van Der Ham. Showing for the first time at LFW, his collection of patched and collaged stunning prints and clever shapes, stood out for its unique styling and use of pattern and texture.
Currently sold in Liberty, go and look at the actual clothes, as they look hideous online.

So if you only ever wear black, next Spring Summer may be a little tricky for you! There is also the danger, when one gets to a certain age, of looking a little bit 'mother of the bride', when wearing head to toe colour. So we will also be looking out for some great bright accessories and lipstick!
