Yesterday we spent a really inspiring day with the Stylus content team talking about future trends. Stylus is an subscription only trends and information website for the interiors, design and lifestyle industries and we were asked to present our views on the future of retail and visual merchandising (Amanda) and fashion and colour trends (me). There were some amazingly inspiring speakers including the food writer Tim Hayward, who charmed all the women in the room. A man who is a passionate foodie, articulate and funny, what's not to like?
But our real crush of the day was Abbey, who looked absolutely amazing. None of us heard a word she said at the beginning of her presentation, as we were completely mesmerised by her! The combination of crisp white embroidered shirt, gorgeous jewelled necklace (which she made herself) short shorts and amazing long legs with bright yellow socks, were almost too much to bear. And she is clever, really clever, a great speaker and very nice.
Sometimes there is no point in being envious, it's best just to stand back in admiration, appreciate unique style and realise our days of wearing micro shorts and knee high socks are well and truly over!
