More quirky, life affirming ramblings from Mr Doonan, who has a habit of observing the best and worst of human behaviour (mostly happening in the fashion and media world he inhabits) and feeing it back to us in amusingly absurdist writing. It helps that he can make me laugh out loud with his funniness but he can also be quite moving too, check out this highlight (on Slate.com) from his new book Gay Men Don’t Get Fat where he talks about curating the Marilyn Munroe exhibition. I have to confess to owning all of Mr Doonan’s books and loving every one of them, so I’m probably too much of a gushy fan to be objective, but really, it’ll make you laugh in January, and that’s no bad thing.
