Perfume nerd essential book alert.
Tipped off by the lovely Katie Puckrick and her blog’s book division, I have wolfed down this fabulous science-y adventure in understanding a bit more about how our noses work. The science of smell is not that advanced and there’s a whole lot of anecdotal rubbish in the smell world that Avery manages to investigate and dispel. He’s an easy-to-read scientist too, which makes a change, I suspect he even has a sense of humour.
For perfume peeps it’s a riveting read. Hard to find tho, Amazon have a kindle edition but you need to search for a cheap second hand copy as it appears to be out of print here.
