I am in fashion week Hell currently, trawling through image after image of what we will be wearing this time next year – I know it’s a tough job but somebodies got to do it.
So following on from Amanda’s post yesterday about camel, here is an insight into whats coming.
Yellow: You may not think it works on British skin, but believe me you will be wanting something bright yellow very very soon.
Marsala: The Pantone colour of 2015, this will be everywhere within a couple of months.
I am currently obsessed with red and all I want is a bright red cashmere jumper in my life – but can I find one – can I buffalo! I would quite like the red fur coat in this image too if I’m honest…….
Grey is also a colour to watch for in all its guises – the Marc Jacobs collection was my absolute favourite of NYFW – inspired by Diana Vreeland – what’s not to like!!
Jane, & Daughter have a gorgeous bright red cashmere jumper on their website ? Their knitwear is very nice.(Obviously I don’t know what style you are looking for, though )
They all look lovely and wearable. Yellow is such a jolly colour. I think it can be draining on fair skins but it depends how much of it you wear. A splash of yellow certainly brightens up the day. The Marc Jacobs outfits are very ‘New Look’ like Lady Felicia Montague’s costumes in the BBC Father Brown series.
Marsala? Nooo! Reminds me of school uniforms and dried blood.. And yellow? Cheering, yes, but with a pasty Irish complexion, I’m not sure!
Yeah, this is the year that my wardrobe is in!
As I’ve got a little older, I’ve embraced the wonder of colour and lament the rows of boring and bland clothing that still dominates much of the high street – bring out the brights!
Ooh someone else who admires Lady Felicia’s clothes. I am a late comer to Father Brown and have watched the 3 series over the last few weeks. They are wonderfully cosy, I love an old fashioned murder mystery and they have got me through the gloom of February.
