Who knew there was a UK Wool Week? “I did” I can hear all you knitters cry! Well I didn’t and to to be honest wool hasn’t really been on my radar for a while, either as a consumer or an industry insider – but it is one of those amazing materials that can be used across a whole host of products – and this is highlighted in the Wool BnB, an installation created to celebrate Wool Week 2016.
Located in De Beauvoir (between Islington and Dalston) London, the BnB is designed and curated by interiors stylist, Karina Garrick and feautures interiors and fashion using wool, to illustrate the benefits of the fibre.
We loved the wool breakfast!
The BnB will also host a series of events from craft sessions, including a woolly hat knitting workshop with Innocent on Woolly Hat Day (on Friday 14th Oct), a customised patchwork crochet class by London fashion designer Katie Jones, a tailoring workshop with one of the most established Savile Row tailoring houses, Anderson & Sheppard, and acoustic gigs in partnership with SofarSound, set in the wool insulated basement kitchen.
