Not wanting to dumb the art at Frieze down or anything, but does anyone else feel a little bit cynical about some of the so called art and the insanely rich people buying it?
It can feel like more of an opportunity to show up and show off, than a place to genuinely love art – but perhaps thats the cynical socialist in me! Despite that, I find it a great source of inspiration for colour and I’m unable to separate the art from the fashion. So here are a few of my favourite pieces of art and the outfits that compliment them!

Matthew Ronay, Andrea Bowers, Paul Maheke

Tracey Emin, Marilyn Minter

Renate Bertlmann, Dickon Drury

Matthew Ronay, Magnus Plessen

Sara Naim

Roy Oxlade

Do Ho Suh

Eric N Mack

Billie Zangewa

Matthew Ronay

Daniel Richter, Anton Alvarez

Mary Beth Edelson
fabulous images and colour
Beautiful images, so well curated – my kind of art.
Great images and inspirational offbeat styling but I am glad someone else feels the same as me about Frieze — I’ve always discounted any of the fairs as a place for ‘real’ art. More a place to go and be seen …….
I love people watching!! You’re right……… the art exhibits bring the most interesting clothing out!!
One of the benefits of living in a small rural town in the UK………..I’ve never heard of Frieze. Nice pictures though. Lovely to see ‘socks on display’ are making a fashion come back.
