I know you are going to think I’m mad, but it’s time to think about your swimming costume for this year….well ok I might be a TAD early, but not by much. You know that when you really want to think about your holiday swimmies (July-ish) they will have all sold out, apart from the Per Una one in a purple animal print with added diamante embellishment. And this year it will have a peplum.
While at LFW last week the Handpicked Media lounge was stuffed with nice things from Ted Baker, not least these extremely nice one piece costumes. I really love the floral orchid print one with cerise lining, it was so VERY floral it made me smile and the white based floral looked a lovely fit. There’s a slight retro feel about them, what with the halter neck ties and the smocked elastic back, but not too much. Also the orchid print one has a floaty chiffon wrap over cover-up to match, which feels extremely ‘well put together’ for a beach outfit. The one pieces are around £69, I’m not quite sure how much the dress is as it’s not on the website yet.

Ah – I just bought a new swimsuit yesterday – We are coming into swimming season big time now and I decided this year to invest in a good quality one rather than my usual M & S nonsense that does nothing for me. I went for a Seafolly one in navy http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/product/clothes-swims/953678.jsp I hope it looks OK – it’s very pricey indeed – have I wasted my money or will I look like a godess – I’ll let you know !!!! Like the Ted Baker ones will investigate website now – well a girl can never had too much swimwear when pretty much all my time is spent in the pool from March to September !!!!
The title of this post had me yelling “Noooooo”, but actually these cossies look lovely and quite supportive. I need my swimwear to hold up and in, without looking as though it is scaffolding. Thank you – I will check these out.
I am too early really, it’s madness to be thinking swimmies when it’s still a bit cold to be removing your clothes without shivering, but good to start the research early! And I bet these ones sell out fast. A
I trawl the internet every spring for large cup size bikinis that don’t make me look like Mrs Doubtfire and never have any luck. There are never any plain (ish) ones. Expensive brands only do a top size 14 or L which look too boobilicious on anyone over 40 as there is too much spillage. The cheaper brands like La senza, usually are too cutsie with bows and polka dots and have no support. Does anyone else find this?
