J Crew to open a shop in London

One of our favourite collections at New York Fashion week was from J Crew. We have mentioned before how much we love J Crew’s unique blend of qulaity casualwear and key fashion items, and I particularly like their use of colour.

You can now buy it online in the UK, and we were very excited to hear that creative director Jenna Lyons, had announced they are thinking of opening a shop/s in London sometime in 2013. Speaking after the catwalk show, she said, “We’re looking at spaces on Regent Street. And I wouldn’t mind being in Covent Garden for a smaller store. It won’t be just one store – we’re not gonna be stingy.”

Let’s hope it lives up to our expectations, as often shops we love when travelling, don’t seem to quite work when transported to the UK.  Anthropologie is just as gorgeous, but Banana Republic seems just a little bit boring. Or is that just us?

Be interesting to see if JCrew actually looks this exciting once it gets into a store it never does in New York
