Last week at the Boden Press day, it was all beautiful British blooms as the summer 2015 range is full to bursting with lovely floral prints and cheerful colour. Boden’s press day sets always look lovely, not having a chain of shops means they work super hard to show the brand’s aesthetic through display and styling.
As part of Boden in Bloom, as it was called, I was introduced to the florist Bloom &Wild, a recently launched idea with an enthusiastic team who produce lovely, well priced floral bouquets and pack them up safely and robustly so you can send them through the post. They send everything out in a sturdy container that fits perfectly through a standard letter box, instantly removing the need for your lucky recipient to be in to receive them. Clever eh?
Each bloom is also wrapped in cellophane and protective netting to ensure its safe travel and each bouquet comes with a ribbon and instructions on how to make them look their best when they arrive. Delivery is also next day, as first class Royal Mail is used.
Prices for a lovely sized bouquet start at £20, which i thought was excellent as the flower selection is also charming and ( I noticed from the few I saw) long lasting. There’s also a neat present offer which allows you to buy a ‘run’ of bouquets as a gift, one bouquet a month delivered for three months, for £50. That sounds a lovely ‘special’ present to me. So if you are after a good present for an awkward person on your Christmas list, or just need an easy-to-use contact which enables you to say thank you/sorry/well done/whatever, Bloom & Wild might be a good place to start. The last date for posted Christmas deliveries is 19th December, although courier deliveries continue until 23rd December. More details on the brand website here, the Letterbox is £20 but there are also larger bouquets starting from £35 if you need to make a bigger splash.
This is a brilliant idea, and I would second the bunch of flowers through the post each month as a birthday present idea. We did this for my MIL’s 80th birthday (we have just sent bunch 9 ) and she is very happy, keeps telling us what a good thing it has been etc (so, I’m inclined to believe it was). Not having to wonder about whether the recipient is in, would be a welcome incentive to use this website.
